March 25th, 2001 - Surprise Shower for Lisa!
| |
Lisa had a surprise shower today thrown by my side of the family. Thanks to Mary and Katie and thanks to all that attended, Lisa was really surprised and
it made her day. I really appreciate it as well. Tara was kind enough to take the digital camera and grab some snaps and here they are. Some are not
presented to protect the innocent :-). Click on the image to link to the pictures.

March 11th, 2001 - Lisa's Stagette
| |
Last night was Lisa's stagette thrown by her capable bridesmaids. The theme
was Charlie's Angels (seems to be a reocurring theme) if you haven't already guessed. Jay and I drank
pitchers at Brydens (seems to be a reocurring theme). Click
here to link to some of the
images from the event.

February 20th, 2001 - Catching Up
| |
Not much new this week except that Lisa and I finished marriage prep class in London last weekend
so we are now both certifiable. It was Rory's birthday on the weekend as well as Dad's. Happy 64th mon Pere.
Anyways, at right is a picture of Rich and Brian trying to run up long distance charges on my office phone. Speaking of pictures,
I finally got the pictures from the snow storm, Henry and Christina's dinner party, and Lisa and I's jaunt out to the
wilds of Ontario to try our hand at snowmobiling on the site. All the albums are on the "What's New" border.

February 8th, 2001 - Winter Wonderland
| |
Woke up this morning to about 25cm of snow and a winter wonderland in Toronto. It took Lisa an hour
to get to work while I didn't even bother trying. I got some good pictures of the scene though.

February 1st, 2001 - The Bird is Live!
| |
Yes folks, after about 10 days of burrowing through
newsgroups and "man" pages, the Web Lounge went live today on our new Linux server named
Overlord. All 'inet' services are now run from this machine which also takes
care of the firewall as well. Hopefully this means the end of my "server went down" apologies. So long Microsoft!!!!

January 17, 2001 - The King is Dead.
| |
Canadian's are mourning today as it was announced that the King of Kensington is died after
complications arose during heart surgery. Al Waxman once visited the Brookside Manor a couple of years ago as part
of the Small Rooms festivities. He will be missed.
On another note, I have the pictures from last weekend's party up. We had 20 for dinner and I
think we all had a pretty swell time. Thanks again to all who showed up. Click on the picture of old crazy Brian to link
to the site.

January 7, 2001 - Survived the Madison, barely.

This weekend was the weekend for Jay and Michelle's engagement party at the Bulger residence. We all had
a good time and I have some pretty decent photos from the affair. Click on the picture of Mike and Gus to see all the
thumbnails. Also, for those with higher speed connections you may want to check out a 2 minute MPEG video I put together
with the video clips from the party. I'm pretty happy with it.
You have two choices to download the file, either in low-quality streaming format, or in one big MPEG file.
Click Here for the streaming version
of the file (100kb/s) OR Right click Here and select "Save target as.." to
download the high quality MPEG. Warning: This is a 17MB file and will take
about 1 hour to download if you have just a dial-up connection to the
internet. Also, I had problems using realplayer to view this file, use Windows
Media Player if you a having problems

January 3, 2001 - A new Millenium
| |
We had a great evening this New Years with some friends over for dinner and some libation.
On the right is a picture of Michelle with some de-alcoholised champagne, the true French way to ring in the new year. Click
on her picture to link to the rest of the photos. I particularly like the action sequence of Mike digging into the cheese plate
at 3 in the morning.
