September 14th, 2003 - End of summer in Algonquin Web Lounge

A Beaver Meadow      With the end of summer upon us, we headed back up to the Blue Spruce to check out the park before the fall colours, and temperatures, started to roll in. We had great summer weather and Kate and Lisa even went swimming. We also canoed from Oxtongue Lake, up the Oxtongue River to Ragged Falls. Very nice.

September 3rd, 2003 - Labour Day on Cow Island Web Lounge

Kate and Jack      Labour Day weekend this year had us on cow Island for an impromptu end-of-summer getaway with the Booths, Deans, and Hamms. Kate had a great time with Jack and Hannah, not to mention her new friends, Madeleine and Zach. Thanks to Brian and Lynn for having us up.

August 30th, 2003 - August is over Web Lounge

Hannah and Kate      August is over and we will remember this month for the amount of time we weren't at home. We were either cottaging or travelling of some sort it seems this month. Here are some leftover pictures from the month that don't demand their own album.

August 22nd, 2003 - Back from Tobermory Web Lounge

Kids      We are back from a week in Tobermory and we had a great time. Heather and Mike spent a few days with us which was great and we all managed to get in a swim in the bay and a hike or two. The weather was spectacular and we finally got to spend some time at Singing Sands.

    July 13, 2003 - Sausage Fest 2003 Web Lounge

Sausage      Yes we finally held the long awaited Sausage Fest. We had six sausage making participants who put up with an extremely cramped kitchen, and kids running everywhere, to make some amazing samples of the culinary art. Thanks to everyone who made sausage and thanks as well to all who simply came to partake. Along with some pictures, here is a link to some of the sausage recipes that were showcased.

July 1st, 2003 - Canada Day Celebrations Web Lounge

Kids      In honour of our nation's birthday, we headed west to visit my folks in Bayfield. Kate had a great time at the trailer pushing around her little baby in the stroller and splashing in her little lady-bug pool. Next day we were gratiously invited to go boating with Lori, Greg, and their kids on their still unnamed vessle at Grand Bend. Kate had a little problem with wearing her life jacket so we're going to have to get a bigger size for our further boating experiences this summer. Boating was great and we caught the fireworks at Grand Bend to finish off the evening. It was a great couple of days.

June 27th, 2003 - Camping at Sandbanks Provincial Park Web Lounge

Andrew, Kate, Lisa, Mike, and Heather      After Henry and Christina had to back-out of our camping trip to Sandbanks, Mike and Heather were kind enough to join us at the last minute for what turned out to be a picture perfect weekend on the beach. We had amazing weather and we managed to get into the lake a couple of times even if it was a bit on the cool side for swimming. Kate really enjoyed the sand and all the other kids on the beach. We had to keep an eye on her most of the time as she frequently would wander off the campsite to socialise with the other campers in the park. As always, she charmed everyone with her incessant "Bu-Bye" and "Hi"s. Unlike the Grundy Lake fiasco of last year, we had almost no bugs and I managed to get away with only one mosquito bite. By all accounts a great weekend!

    April 21st, 2003 - Jeremy Murdock's Baptism Web Lounge

Kids      Yesterday was Jeremy's Baptism at St. Patrick's Church in London. The Baptism was part of the Easter Mass and was a very nice ceremony. Jeremy was a very good boy during the whole ordeal as Kate gave him some pointers before the Mass. Tara and Troy had a nice reception back at their place with most people ending up in the garage drinking beer.
