Inishmore - Aran Islands

Last night we stayed in Galway so that we could grab the ferry from Rosaveal early. A 30 minute ferry ride brings you over to the largest of the Aran Islands, Inishmore. When we were in Doolin we befriended a nice Swiss girl named Irene. When we arrived on Inishmore we bumped into her again and spent the day cycling around the island. The Aran islands are actually a continuation of the Burren, on the mainland. The desolate geography is the same but it is the people that define these Islands. As one of the most untouched regions of the ghaeltacht, you really think you have stepped back in time as you peddle around the place.
